The Zero Waste Grant Programme Gaziantep Information Day was held on 21 August 2025 at Tuğcan Hotel, beginning with the opening speeches of Mr. Mehmet Yunus İnan, Head of the Department of Project Preparation and Monitoring at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; Mr. Fikret Gültekin, Project and Finance Manager at the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye; and Ms. Şule Bektaş, Coordinator of the Planning and Project Implementation Unit at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

In the afternoon, the programme continued with sessions by Havva Nur Çiftçi, Procurement Specialist; Esra Öztürk, Grant Specialist; and Zümrüt Aydın, Procurement Specialist, from the Ministry.

At the event in Gaziantep, comprehensive information was shared with participants on technical support and infrastructure projects for municipalities, circular economy and waste policies, application processes, eligibility criteria, budgets, and procedures.

The event hosted more than 100 participants.
