The Closing Meeting was held within the scope of “Preparation, Implementation and Monitoring of Species Action Plans for Endangered Species in Turkey within the Concept of a New Methodology” Project

The Closing Meeting of the ”Preparation, Implementation and Monitoring of Species Action Plans for Endangered Species in Turkey within the Concept of a New Methodology” Project ,carried out by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, under the coordination of the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and the Department of European Union Investments, was held on September 14,2023.

Our General Manager Mr. Asst. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bayraktar said that he has done a lot of work on biodiversity and concluded his speech with the wishes, “We will all have the opportunity to live together in a world where no species is in danger and all living things live as they deserve.”

Project Team Leader Borut Rubinic stated that 188 species were prioritized for conservation, 500 students participated in awareness trainings and 350 personnel participated in stakeholder trainings, 7 species action plans were prepared and 5 conservation actions were completed, and three separate study visits were made to EU countries and 2 educational documentaries and 8 short films were created within the project scope.
