The 5th Operation Coordination Unit (OCU) Meeting of the “Technical Assistance for Promoting Sustainable Management Capacity of DoEUI and Capacity Building of End-Recipients Project”, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye under the IPA II Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme, was held on 9 March 2026.

The meeting was attended by Elif Torcu Özden, Environment Sector Coordinator at the European Union Delegation to Türkiye, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Raci Bayer, Head of Project Implementation Department at the Directorate General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; Mehmet Yunus İnan, Head of Project Preparation and Monitoring Department at the Directorate General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; and Güven Seydioğlu, Project Contract Manager at the Directorate General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, together with relevant unit staff and representatives of the contractor.

During the meeting, recent developments in the final phase of the project were comprehensively reviewed and the results achieved so far were assessed. Participants also discussed the challenges encountered during implementation, possible solutions and the activities planned for the upcoming period. In addition, important evaluations were made regarding the further strengthening of cooperation and coordination among the institutions involved in the project.
