On 14 May 2025, the 17th Sectoral Monitoring Committee of the IPA II Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme and 5th Sectoral Monitoring Committee Meeting of IPA III was held in a hybrid format at the premises of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, with the participation of the European Commission, the EU Delegation to Türkiye, NIPAC, NAO, and relevant institutional representatives.

The meeting commenced with the opening speech of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Raci BAYER, Head of the Department of EU Investments at the Directorate General for EU and Foreign Relations and Head of the Operating Structure responsible for IPA Management.

The meeting agenda focused on policy developments at the sectoral level and the overall progress of programme implementation. The advancement of IPA I, II, and III programmes was reviewed, with a particular emphasis on activities carried out within the scope of post-earthquake recovery efforts. In addition, the financial performance and results of ongoing monitoring activities were presented. Updates on communication and visibility activities were also among the key items discussed during the meeting.
