The 12th Monthly Operation Coordination Unit (OCU) meeting of the DEEP Project carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change was held on September 5, 2023 with the participation of the European Union Delegation to Turkey, Contracting Authority, Final Beneficiary, Consortium Representatives and Operations Coordination Unit representatives.

The hybrid meeting has been chaired by Mr. Salih Eminoğlu, Branch Manager of the Circular Economy Policies Branch Office, Circular Economy and Waste Management Department, and hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.The activities carried out since the 11th OCU meeting were evaluated in the meeting which has an agenda that will further the vision of the project.  Moreover, the timetable for the upcoming activities was discussed. 

The focus was on ongoing and planned activities. In this framework, “Circular Economy Conference”, “Second Study Visit, Circular Economy Network Analysis”, “Update on the Preparation of the National Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plan”, “Update on the EU Plastics Strategy Evaluation Report”, “On the Regulatory Impact Analysis of SUPD” “Update”, “Life Cycle Analysis of Single Use Plastics”, “Update on Single-Use Plastics and Marine Litter Roadmap”, “Life Cycle Analysis Training”, “Update on the Preparation of the Evaluation of the Existing Waste Management System” activities were discussed.
