| ABOUT THE PROJECT | The project aims to strengthen Türkiye’s policy framework for climate finance and to enhance national capacity in this field. In this context, activities include analysing existing climate finance mechanisms, policy instruments and financial flows in the country, reviewing international good practices, and assessing financing needs for climate investments. The project also supports technical work towards the preparation of the Draft National Climate Finance Strategy through consultation processes carried out with relevant stakeholders.
Project activities also include efforts to strengthen the sustainable finance infrastructure in Türkiye. In this context, activities include analysing the green finance ecosystem, providing technical input to the preparation of the Draft National Green Taxonomy for identified economic activities, and developing recommendations on the use of capital markets to advance green finance in Türkiye. In addition, the capacity of public institutions and relevant stakeholders is supported through training programmes, workshops and technical guidance, while project outputs are shared through information and visibility activities. |
