To contribute to a high level of environmental protection and to the alignment of Türkiye with the EU wastewater sector directives, thereby accelerating Türkiye’s accession process

Specific Objectives of the Project:

• Improvement of the water quality of the transboundary Dicle River
• Establishment of a Wastewater Treatment Plant Project to remove nitrogen and phosphorus, with biological treatment including sludge, and a treatment and disposal facility of approximately 12,000 m³/day capacity
• Enabling more people to benefit from more efficient wastewater treatment
