Within the scope of the IPA II Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme, a technical evaluation meeting regarding the Tunceli Solid Waste Management Project was held at our Ministry on 23/12/2025, during which the technical details of the construction works were discussed.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Project Implementation Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raci BAYER, and was attended by Mr. Ayhan TAŞ, Head of the Contract Management Department, Ms. Didar ERGENE ŞENTÜRK, Contract Expert, relevant project officers, as well as representatives of the Consultant Eptisa and the Contractor Gündoğu – Mesogeos (JV).

About the Project

Under the IPA II Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme, the Integrated Recycling Facility being established within the scope of the Tunceli Solid Waste Management Project will enable the recovery of a large portion of municipal solid waste. At the facility, mixed municipal waste will be automatically separated and recovered through a fully automated system without manual handling, in accordance with international standards. Only a small fraction of the total waste, consisting of inert (non-odour-generating) materials, will be disposed of at the Sanitary Landfill Facility.
