A meeting was held within our Ministry to evaluate the deficiencies identified during the provisional acceptance stage under the scope of the Giresun Wastewater Project, specifically concerning the Giresun Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Contract (Lot-1), which is still under the defect liability period, and the Giresun Wastewater Collection Project Construction Contract (Lot-2).

The meeting was attended by Ms. Asuman ÖZALTAY, Sector Manager at the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye; Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Raci BAYER,  Head of the Project Implementation Department  at General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change,and Ms. Meltem YILMAZ, Contract Manager. Representatives of Giresun Municipality, as well as representatives of the consultant and contractor firms, also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, technical evaluations were conducted together with the consultant regarding the deficiencies identified at the provisional acceptance stage, and information was obtained from Giresun Municipality officials on the current operational status of the facilities. In addition, the process to be followed for the works to be completed within the defect liability period was discussed.
