Capacity Building Training on the End of Waste Concept is taking place between October 16 and 17, 2023 in Antalya, and nearly 70 participants attended.

In addition to the staff of the General Directorate of Environmental Management, representatives of the General Directorate of EIA Permitting and Inspection, the General Directorate of EU and Foreign Relations, the Turkish Environment Agency and the Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change attended the training.

The training was designed to provide an overview of the project and the outputs prepared so far; It included end-of-waste experts from the EU Member States of Italy, Poland, France, Ireland and Sweden, and the non-EU UK. 

Experts shared their best practises for implementing waste management in these countries. Furthermore, experts presented specific examples of end-of-waste criteria developed for specific types of waste to be considered within the scope of end-of-waste in Türkiye.
