ABOUT THE PROJECT Overall Objective of the project is:

To support the accession process by strengthening the infrastructure and water management of Çankırı, and by ensuring Türkiye’s compliance with environmental protection and EU wastewater sector directives

Specific Objectives of the Project:

  • Construction of wastewater treatment plant and wastewater network system
  • Improving the water quality of Acıçay and Tatlıçay streams via reducing pollution load caused by untreated wastewater discharge in the existing situation and contribute to improvement of public health
  • Overcoming the operational problems in the sewerage system through construction of wastewater network
  • Meeting the wastewater treatment needs of the region until 2047
