| ABOUT THE PROJECT | Within the scope of the Service Contract, the administrative, technical and financial capacity of the Project Implementation Unit/Water and Sewerage Administration was strengthened, and the supervision of the construction works for the sewerage and drinking water pipelines and the wastewater treatment plant was carried out.
Within the scope of the Works Contract, the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 12,126 m³/day (p.e = 116,600), 55.8 km of sewerage pipeline, 3.2 km of rising main, 8.6 km of drinking water pipeline, 36 District Metering Area (DMA) chambers, the rehabilitation of 2 pumping stations, the construction of 2 new pumping stations, and the installation of 6 package pumping stations were carried out. In accordance with Türkiye’s commitments under the “Convention on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution”, the pollution load reaching the receiving environment, namely the Black Sea, was reduced. |
