Quality Assurance Unit Coordinator

She was born in Ankara in 1982. Following her graduation from Kaya Bayazıtoğlu High School in 1999, where she began her education in 1996, she started university the same year and graduated from Eskişehir Technical University’s (former Anadolu University) Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in 2005. She worked as a project engineer for a while after graduation. Following the start of her postgraduate study in 2006, she obtained her master’s degree in Transportation Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 2008.
In August of the same year, she began working as a Civil Engineer at Yalova Provincial Directorate of the former Ministry of Public Works and Settlement. In January 2011, she was assigned to the Building Inspection Department of the former Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. She then worked in the Procurement Unit of the European Union Investments Department of the former Ministry of Environment and Urbanization from March 2013 to January 2015.
Between January 2015 and July 2025, she served at the Quality Assurance and Control Unit of the former European Union Investments Department of the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. As of August 2025, she began working as the Acting Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Department of Project Preparation and Monitoring of European Union and Foreign Relations General Directorate reporting to the , Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
The duties of the Quality Assurance Unit are as follows:
- Ensuring the continuity of the accreditation criteria to be fulfilled by the IPA Units within the framework of the delegation of authority granted to the Ministry by the European Commission under the decentralised structure and preparing all necessary documents related to accreditation;
- Updating the Implementation Handbook, sending and changes made to the National Authorising Officer for approval, and keeping records of all changes,
- Coordinating all kinds of inspection activities, responding to inspection prepared by inspectors, and preparing action plans in coordination with other units and the Project Tender and Implementation Departmenr, as necessary;
- Carrying out irregularity reporting;
- Preparing the risk management plan;
- Preparing and updating documents related to human resources management, and coordinating workload analysis and training needs analysis efforts; and
- Conducting other duties assigned by the Department Head.
