ABOUT THE PROJECT Overall Objective of the project is:

To support the accession process by ensuring Türkiye’s compliance with environmental protection and EU wastewater sector directives

Specific Objectives of the Project:

  • Improving the water quality of Ceyhan River via reducing pollution load caused by untreated wastewater discharge in the existing situation and contribute to improvement of public health
  • Overcoming the operational problems in the existing sewerage system
  • Meeting the wastewater infrastructure needs of the region until 2047
