| ABOUT THE PROJECT | Within the scope of the Project, a wastewater treatment plant with an average flow capacity of 111,023 m³/day and an equivalent population capacity of 825,638 was constructed.
It was designed and constructed by the Contractor, and training on operation and maintenance was provided to KASKİ staff. With the Kahramanmaraş Wastewater Treatment Plant, it was aimed to bring wastewater discharge in line with EU standards, thereby ensuring the protection of the environment and the Kahramanmaraş River, and eliminating factors that pose a threat to public health. In the facility capable of removing carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus, the stabilization of the sludge is carried out in anaerobic sludge digesters. By using the biogas generated in anaerobic sludge digesters, a certain portion of the facility’s energy demand is met. |
