| ABOUT THE PROJECT | Within the scope of the Project, the contractor completed the construction of a new advanced biological wastewater treatment plant with an average capacity of 25,000 m³/day and serving an equivalent population of 135,000, the rehabilitation of the existing wastewater treatment plant, and the construction of 18.64 km of sewerage network.
In addition, the contractor provided training to the personnel of Erzincan Municipality on operation and maintenance. With the Erzincan Wastewater Treatment Plant, it was aimed to bring wastewater discharge in line with EU standards, thereby ensuring the protection of the environment and the Karasu River, and eliminating factors that pose a threat to public health. In the plant capable of removing carbon and nitrogen, the stabilization of the sludge generated takes place within the treatment basins. Within the scope of the Project, the renewal of approximately 12 km of water transmission pipeline (with diameters of 800 mm or 1000 mm) was completed. |
