ABOUT THE PROJECT Overall Objective of the project is:

To contribute to the acceleration of Türkiye’s EU accession by ensuring advanced environmental protection and compliance with EU wastewater sector directives through the construction of a wastewater treatment plant

Specific Objectives of the Project:

  • Construction of the first stage of the wastewater treatment plant and provision of supervision services
  • Enhancing the administrative, financial and technical capacities of the Municipality of Kastamonu
  • Provision of technical assistance for the efficient operation of the municipality’s water and wastewater services
  • Raising public awareness in Kastamonu
  • Meeting the wastewater treatment needs of the region until the year 2047
