Contract Management Unit Coordinator

He was born in Şanlıurfa in 1984. He completed his undergraduate study at Süleyman Demirel University’s Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and obtained the title of Civil Engineer in 2008. From August 2008 to June 2009, he worked for the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) in a Contractor company, initially as a field engineer and later as a site manager in the scope of urban transformation and infrastructure works. By the beginning of 2010, he took up duty as a Civil Engineer at Şanlıurfa Provincial Directorate of the former Ministry of Public Works and Settlement. At the Provincial Directorate, he performed duties such as control and inspection of building materials, supervision of building inspection organizations, and earthquake damage assessment.
In March 2013, he was temporarily assigned to the former European Union Investments Department, and later transferred there permanently in August 2013. At this Department, he worked as a specialist in the Technical Implementation, Programming, and Monitoring and Assessment units.
In December 2021, he began serving as the Acting Coordinator of the Monitoring and Assessment Unit.
As of August 2025, he has been working as the Acting Coordinator in the Contract Management Unit of the Project Implementation Department at the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations.
The duties of the Contract Management Unit are as follows:
- Ensuring the implementation of construction, material procurement, and service procurement contracts, as well as grant contracts, in accordance with relevant legislation and international agreement provisions, along with contractual job descriptions and technical specifications;
- Working in coordination with the end-beneficiaries to ensure the successful implementation of contracts, controlling periodic progress reports from companies and/or end-beneficiaries, and conducting site visits;
- Controlling if the implementation agreements made with the end-beneficiaries are fulfilled or not, following up on the reports that the end-beneficiaries are required to submit and forwarding them to the relevant parties;
- Preparing/reviewing addenda to contracts during implementation and sending these addenda to the Quality Control Unit to ensure the control thereof within the Department;
- Working in coordination with the Finance Unit regarding payment procedures; and
- Conducting other duties assigned by the Department Head.
